Supercars are, well, super. They are the fastest, the best, the most cutting-edge cars available. Super cars are defined by having handling, styling, and speed that goes above and beyond the vast majority of their peers within the same era. We’re going to go over what will likely be the best super cars to hit the road in 2018, which a special emphasis on new or dramatically updated supercars.
Keep in mind, some 2019 models will hit the road in 2018, as will some 2018 models. This can create some confusion, but we’re going to focus on cars that are either first hitting the road (for consumers) in 2018, or being widely rolled out.
1. 2018 Bugatti Chiron
With 1,500 horsepower, the 2018 Bugatti Chiron promises to be one of the fastest and most powerful cars ever produced. Starting at $2.6 million, you’ll have to shell out a lot of money for this supercar. However, you’ll get what might be the fastest production car ever, with a top speed estimated at 288 miles per hour. You’ll hit 60 in less than 2.5 seconds. Expect this car to dominate 2018, and perhaps beyond.
2. 2019 Ferrari 488 GTB
We’re getting into speculative territory here, but the 2019 Ferrari 488 GTB is expected by many to mark the end of this iconic car’s run. If that’s the case, expect the 2019 Ferrari 488 GTB to send the 488 out on a very high note. Industry insiders are expecting the 2019 Ferrari 488 GTB to be a “hardcore” supercar. Combined with the 488’s classic and iconic styling, this 2019 model could go down as one of the greatest supercars ever.
